Security alert surrounding suspicious object in Newtownabbey

There has been a security alert in Newtownabbey following the discovery of a suspicious object.

Police received reports of an object being found at about 8.30am on Sunday 6 May.

A number of residents from the Arthur Avenue area of the town have been evacuated from their homes.
