100 fake guns seized by anti-paramilitary task force
Around 100 imitation firearms, which police say could potentially have been used in organised crime, have been seized in Belfast.
The haul was uncovered by officers from the PSNI’s Paramilitary Crime Task Force, following a search of commercial premises on Wednesday.
The fake guns have been taken away for forensic examination.
Inspector Knox said: “We continue to disrupt the activities and organised criminality linked to paramilitaries.
“We have removed this substantial amount of imitation firearms which could potentially be used in organised crime.”
