Giant’s Causeway celebrates one million visitors in a year

The Giant’s Causeway is celebrating one million visitors since the start of the year, the only visitor attraction in Northern Ireland to reach such a milestone.

The world famous attraction has seen visitor numbers increase by a third since 2013.

The Giant's Causeway is the first UNESCO World Heritage site in Northern Ireland and has also recently been named as the Number One Region in the World to visit in 2018 by the Lonely Planet.

Aubrey Irwin, Tourism Ireland, said: "Overseas visitors regularly tell us that their holiday in Northern Ireland has surpassed their expectations and a visit to Giant's Causeway is certainly a 'must see'now on everyone's itinerary."
