An area of rain spreading northeast across the region later this evening.Turning a little clearer overnight with some blustery showers, these turning wintry over the hills, and perhaps fleetingly to lower levels. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Thursday: Frequent showers with a fresh to strong westerly wind, possibly gale force along the north coast at first. Feeling colder with the showers turning wintry on high ground. Maximum temperature 7 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday: A much brighter few days with some sunshine at times along with a few showers which will be wintry at times, especially over higher ground. Sunday mainly dry.
