Second man arrested over Liverpool fatal hit-and-run

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in Bradford over a hit-and-run in Liverpool in which Co Antrim man Matthew Bradley was killed.

The man was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and conditionally bailed to appear at a date in December, Merseyside Police said.

A 22-year-old man has previously been arrested and also bailed until December.

Mr Bradley, who was originally from Glenavy, was killed in the collision on The Strand in Liverpool city centre last Friday night.

The 24-year-old had been visiting the city with friends and had been enjoying a night out when it happened.

Bystanders went to his aid, but the driver sped off from the scene. Mr Bradley died in hospital from his injuries.

Police in Liverpool recovered BMW 330 series car suspected of being involved in the incident and it has been forensically examined.
