MMA’s Conor McGregor has said he hopes a behind-the-scenes documentary about his meteoric rise to stardom inspires fans to “achieve greatness”.

The film Conor McGregor: Notorious had its premiere at the Savoy Cinema in Dublin on Wednesday.

It follows the fighter from a life claiming benefits and living with his parents to claiming UFC championships and taking on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

The 29-year-old told reporters he was proud of everyone who had been with him on his journey.

“It’s been one hell of a roller coaster,” McGregor said.

“A roller coaster of hard work, long hours, with no praise and no reward, and then we get it.”
