Coleraine snatch late winner against Linfield
Coleraine 2 - 1 Linfield
Coleraine snatched a last-gasp win over Linfield in Saturday’s big Irish Premiership clash at the Showgrounds, with Blues boss David Healy sent to the stands.
It was the Bannsiders who took the lead in the second half, with Brad Lyons profiting from Ciaron Harkin's pinpoint free-kick to glance past Linfield keeper Roy Carroll from eight yards out.
But the visitors produced a quick-fire response.
Kirk Millar’s 64th minute ball was met by Mark Haughey who headed his side level at the near post following a corner kick.
Then, at the death, Jamie McGonigle took advantage of hesitancy in the Linfield backline and thumped the ball home in the 90th minute to send the hosts into jubilation.
David Healy’s frustration at the goal saw the Linfield boss sent to the stands by referee Arnold Hunter.
