Man remanded in custody on attempted murder charge over Belfast pharmacy stabbing

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged in connection with an attack on a pharmacy in west Belfast.
In the dock at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning was 26-year-old Patrick Campbell, of no fixed abode.
He is charged with the attempted murder of one pharmacist Peter Wright, as well as inflicting grievous bodily harm on another pharmacist Paul McDonagh.
He's also accused of a string of other offences including possession of a weapon, namely a knife, as well the theft of prescription medication and assault on police.
The charges relate to an attack on a pharmacy on the Falls Road in west Belfast on Thursday morning.
Campbell spoke only once, to confirm he understood the charges against him.
No bail application was made and he was remanded into custody to reappear via video-link on 5 May.
