A unique festival for Belfast celebrating women in music is set to return for a second year.

The Oh Yeah Music Centre has announced the programme for the Women’s Work festival, which aims to raise the profile of women who are generally in the minority in music.

A host of events will be held in participating venues, including Oh Yeah, Start Together Studio, the Black Box, Pavilion and Strand Arts Centre.

Over 50 acts, creatives and DJS will take part in the six-day festival from 24-29 May, with more events going on throughout the whole month.

Industry experts will also be taking part in various events, including music journalist Sylvia Patterson.

The author of I’m Not With The Band will be looking back on her 30-year career that includes interviews with the likes of Prince, Beyoncé, Eminem, Madonna, George Michael and many more.
