Bethany Firth secures golden hat-trick in the pool
Bethany Firth has won a third Paralympic gold medal in the final swimming event in Rio, as Team GB claimed the top two podium places.
The Co Down swimmer finished a full eight seconds ahead of team-mate Jessica-Jane Applegate, as she set another Paralympic Record, this time in the 200m individual medley.
She becomes the fifth female paralympian to claim a trio of gold medals at a single games. No male paralympian has yet achieved this distinction.
