Dismal run continues for Finn Harps
The dismal run by Finn Harps continued on Monday night as they went down 2-0 at Dundalk.
Ollie Horgan's side have now lost the last six outings and also failed to score in this slump, but they were always going to be up against it against the runaway SSE Airtricity Premier Division league leaders at Oriel Park.
Having already lost twice to Dundalk this season any hopes of causing a shock were soon dashed as the home side raced into a sixth minute lead. Patrick McEleney was the man on target for the Lilywhites.
Harps had to wait until midway through the second half before getting a sight of goal, Keith Cowan's header was easily saved by Dundalk keeper Gary Rogers.
Dundalk missed a host of chances to increase their lead until finally sealing a comfortable win on 76 minutes when Daryl Horgan made it 2-0.
Finn Harps have a chance to put this poor run behind them in their next game on Friday night when they host Longford Town.
