IN PICS: Thousands flock to Auld Lammas Fair

Thousands of people have been taking in the sights, sounds and smells on the first day of the Auld Lammas Fair in Ballycastle.

The fair got underway on Monday and will run through to Tuesday.

Stalls, vendors and buskers lined the street for what is one of the oldest festivals in Ireland, famed for its Yellow Man candy.

And there was certainly no shortage of colour and spectacle for those visiting.

The animals on show certainly showed no sign of nerves from all the attention.

And all of the animals at the Fair looked to have been spruced up to their very best.

The one downside was the traffic build-up the Fair caused.
