Concern for welfare of Irish citizen in Nice
The Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and the Irish Embassy have said they are "urgently following up" on concerns for the safety of Irish citizens in Nice.
A statement expressed “particular concerns for the welfare of one Irish citizen, which we are following up urgently”.
The Irish Embassy has said it is "in ongoing contact" with the French authorities.
The embassy has also advised people planning to travel to France to exercise a "high degree of caution" following the terror attacks on Thursday.
Meanwhile the UK Government is “working urgently to establish whether any British nationals were caught up in the attack”.
