At a glance: How NI voted in the EU Referendum

Fifty-six percent of voters in Northern Ireland were in favour of the United Kingdom remaining in the European Union, while 44% said leave.

Seven constituencies voted leave:

  • Belfast East

  • East Antrim

  • Lagan Valley

  • North Antrim

  • South Antrim

  • Strangford

  • Upper Bann

Eleven constituencies voted remain:

  • Belfast North, South and West

  • East Londonderry

  • Fermanagh and South Tyrone

  • Foyle

  • Mid Ulster

  • Newry and Armagh

  • North Down

  • South Down

  • West Tyrone

The total number of votes polled in Northern Ireland was 790,523.

Overall turnout for Northern Ireland stood at 62.69%.

The constituency with the highest turnout was Fermanagh and South Tyrone at 67.82%.

Belfast West had the lowest turnout on 48.85%.
