Nottingham Forest set to appoint Martin O'Neill as new manager
Nottingham Forest are set to appoint Martin O'Neill as manager, replacing Aitor Karanka who left the club on Friday.
O'Neill played 371 games for forest and was an integral part of the side who tasted European Cup glory under Brian Clough.
The club first approached the former Republic of Ireland manager as far back as 1993 as they sought a replacement for Clough.
He's since gone on to manage Celtic, Leicester City, Sunderland and Aston Villa but will be afforded a hero's welcome should he take the reins at the City Ground.
