Transfer deadline day: Who went where?

Despite a busy night of football, transfer deadline day deals saw Premier League clubs complete a January spending spree of £215m - but turn a profit overall.

  • Burnley bought Norwich's Robbie Brady for a club record £13m fee along with Aston Villa's Ashley Westwood
  • Southampton signed Italian international Manolo Gabbiadini for £14m from Napoli
  • Middlesbrough captured Adlene Guedioura from Watford
  • Watford's Odion Ighalo joined the Chinese Super League for a reported £20m fee
  • Manchester City signed 19-year-old Yangel Herrera according to his Venezuelan club side
  • Loan deals saw Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho go to Crystal Palace, West Brom sign Marc Wilson from Bournemouth and Southampton take Nice keeper Mouez Hassen while Swansea swapped Neil Taylor for Villa forward Jordan Ayew

Man City sell midfielder to Wigan Athletic

Wigan Athletic continued their impressive work in the transfer market on deadline by snapping up Manchester City midfielder Jack Byrne.

Byrne, who spent the first half of the season at Blackburn, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the DW Stadium.

Jack is one for the long-term,a really hungry player who we feel can develop here over the next few seasons, a real talent.
