Thomas Mair jailed for 'terrorist' murder of MP Jo Cox

Far right fanatic Thomas Mair has been handed a whole life term for murdering the Labour MP in what prosecutors called an "act of terrorism".

Mrs Cox was stabbed 15 times and shot outside her constituency office in Birstall, West Yorkshire.

Court shown CCTV of Jo Cox accused on day of killing

Jurors have been shown CCTV footage of the man accused of murdering Labour MP Jo Cox on the day she was shot and stabbed to death in a street attack.

The grainy footage shows a silver Vauxhall Astra which Mrs Cox was in driving up Market Street in Birstall, West Yorkshire shortly before the attack on June 16.

The same camera also spotted the accused, Thomas Mair, on the street around the time of the attack.

Footage showing Mair, 53, walking along Lowood Lane, where he lived, on the morning of the attack was also shown at the Old Bailey.
