In his first interview since his election, Donald Trump has said he would consider keeping parts of the healthcare law he vowed to repeal.

In the interview with the Wall Street Journal, he also said he had given only a little thought to appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton.

Second night of Trump Tower protests in New York

Protesters have gathered for a second night outside Trump Tower in New York to demonstrate against Donald Trump's victory in the US presidential election.

On Wednesday evening a crowd of thousands marched through Midtown Manhattan, chanting "We reject the President elect" and "Hillary won the popular vote".

The latest demonstration came on the day the US President elect met Barack Obama at the White House to discuss the transition of power.

Mr Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States in January.
