In his first interview since his election, Donald Trump has said he would consider keeping parts of the healthcare law he vowed to repeal.

In the interview with the Wall Street Journal, he also said he had given only a little thought to appointing a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton.

Donald Trump has put vice-president-elect Mike Pence at the head of his transition team, in place of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, the New York Times has reported.

Mr Pence, a former legislator, has deep ties in Washington and The Times reported sources as saying Mr Trump wants to use those contacts to move the transition process along.
