Pauline Cafferkey became infected with Ebola in 2014.

Nurse Pauline Cafferkey, who became infected with Ebola while working in Sierra Leone in December 2014, is to spend a second day in hospital after being admitted for a fourth time.

Ms Cafferkey was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow under police escort on Thursday morning where she underwent tests by the infectious diseases team.

She tested negative for Ebola and remains in a stable condition.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said in a statement: "She remains in a stable condition in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. We want to repeat our previous reassurance that there is no risk to the public."
