Eight new suspects have been arrested in connection with the Bastille Day truck attack in Nice that killed 86 people.

Paris prosecutors said on Tuesday that eight men linked to attacker Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel were detained in the Alpes-Maritimes region in southeastern France, which includes Nice, on Monday.

They are Tunisian and French, the prosecutors added.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the July 14 attack, in which Bouhlel — a Tunisian with French residency — plowed a 19-ton truck down Nice's Promenade des Anglais into a crowds gathered for a firework display.
