Peacock saw he was on track for gold 'with 20m to go'

Jonnie Peacock, who took gold for ParalympicsGB in the 100m at the Rio Games, told ITV News he realised he had a shot at winning the competition when he was just 20 metres away from the finish line.

"Twenty metres to go, I think that's where I kind of really realised it was a possibility," the paralympian told ITV News.

"But you never know, someone can always come flying through at the last second. So I had a quick look, and luckily no one was there."

Peacock's win sees him retain his T11 100m title, which he first won at London Olympics in 2012, with a Paralympic record of 10.81 seconds.
