At least 22 of 51 Turkey wedding bomb blast victims were under 14

At least 22 of the 51 victims of the suicide bomb attack at a Turkish wedding were under the age of 14.

The attack, which took place in the city of Gaziantep, is suspected to have been carried out by a suicide bomber aged between 12 and 14 with links to so-called Islamic State.

It is the latest in a surge of violence this week in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast.

At least 22 of the victims of the suicide bomb attack at a Turkish wedding were under the age of 14.

One of those among the 51 killed was a three-month-old baby named as Sehriban Nurbay.

The suicide bomber was thought to be between the ages of 12 and 14, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said.

Officials said a destroyed suicide vest was found at the scene of the attack in Gaziantep, close to the Syrian border.

At least 94 are thought to have been injured in Saturday's attack.
