At least 22 of 51 Turkey wedding bomb blast victims were under 14

At least 22 of the 51 victims of the suicide bomb attack at a Turkish wedding were under the age of 14.

The attack, which took place in the city of Gaziantep, is suspected to have been carried out by a suicide bomber aged between 12 and 14 with links to so-called Islamic State.

It is the latest in a surge of violence this week in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast.

At least eight people have died and 60 others were injured in an explosion at a wedding in Turkey, security sources have said.

The blast targeted a ceremony in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep and appeared to have been caused by a suicide bomber, Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek told state television.

On Twitter, Samil Tayyar, a minister from the country's ruling AK Party, blamed militants from the so-called Islamic State group for the attack.
