Team GB's Sophie Hitchon claims bronze in the hammer

Sophie Hitchon has won a bronze medal in the women's hammer throw at the Rio Olympics.

She recorded a distance of 74.54m at the Olympic Stadium on Monday.

Poland's Anita Alodarczyk's claimed gold after smashing the world-record with a throw of 82.29m. China's Menxiu Zhang won silver, after recording 76.75m.
