Philippine president links politicians and judges to drugs
The president of Philippines has dismissed over 150 judges, mayors, politicians and military personnel after publicly linking them to illegal drugs.
President Rodrigo Duterte revoked their gun licenses and asked them to surrender to authorities after publicly identifying them on a televised address on Sunday morning.
Mr Duterte promptly fired members of the military and named and shamed members of the police, but said he will take full responsibility if any of those turn out to be innocent.
His latest move intensifies his war on drugs which has left more than 400 suspected dealers dead. Over 4,400 have also been arrested a month since he took office.
