Eyewitnesses told ITV News of "mass panic" and "pandemonium" in the moments after the Nice attack.

Australian Ben Terry told ITV News presenter Mark Austin: "It was really a scene of chaos and mass panic that I've never seen before."

He said that he "realised something was terribly wrong" when shortly after the fireworks for Bastille Day ended, people started running and he heard gunfire.

Looking at people's expressions you could see that something awful had happened.
