Theresa May has become Prime Minister after accepting an invitation from the Queen to form a new government.

Cameron admits love for Larry the cat

David Cameron has said he loves Larry, the Downing Street cat.

"The rumour is I don't love Larry - I do. I have photographic evidence to prove it," Cameron said as he held up the photo.

"Sadly I can't take Larry with me he belongs to the house and the staff love him very much - as do I."

He later tweeted a picture of himself with the cat on his lap as "proof".
