Crabb quit Tory leadership race 'in interests of country'
Stephen Crabb says it was "in the best interests of the country and the nation" for him to pull out of the Tory leadership race so that a new leader could be in place "as quickly as possible".
Crabb received 34 votes from his colleagues, beating Liam Fox who was eliminated, but lagging behind Theresa May, Andrea Leadsom and Michael Gove.
"It's for other candidates to decide whether they follow suit," he added. Stephen Crabb has come out in support of Theresa May's bid for 10 Downing Street.
