Leadsom and May 'stand divided' on future of EU citizens
With the Tory leadership race well underway, one of the candidates Andrea Leadsom, who campaigned for Britain to leave the EU, has said there should be guarantees for EU migrants currently living in the UK, insisting they will not be used as a "bargaining chip".
It was seen as a thinly veiled attack on her rival, Home Secretary Theresa May, who has declined to confirm whether this will be the case, insisting it will be subject to "negotiations".
