Chris Bryant tweets that he has quit shadow cabinet

Labour shadow cabinet member Chris Bryant has resigned from his position as shadow Leader of the House of Commons.

Bryant is MP for Rhondda, and tweeted that he had resigned. "We need someone new to unite and lead Labour," he said.
