Jo Cox: MP 'was preparing report on far-right nationalists' before she was killed

Police are investigating possible links to right-wing extremism in their investigation into the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.

Jo Cox suspect's mother 'shocked' by arrest

The mother of Jo Cox murder suspect Tommy Mair is reportedly "shocked" that her son could have been involved in the attack on the MP, and according to friends initially refused to believe it.

Mary Mair's friend Rosemary Surman was with her when images from the attack were aired on national television and she told ITV News that they "never thought" for even a minute that he was any part of it.
