Police are investigating possible links to right-wing extremism in their investigation into the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox.

Downing Street sends security reminder to all MPs

Politicians have been called to review their security after Labour MP Jo Cox was shot and stabbed to death outside her constituency advice surgery.

A Number 10 spokeswoman said MPs have been sent a reminder of safety guidance after the fatal attack against Ms Cox in Birstall, West Yorkshire.

The advice includes steps politicians can take to stay safe when they are out in public, and suggests they should contact local police if they have any concerns.
