David Cameron and Nigel Farage faced public questions on the EU referendum in a live TV event.

The Prime Minister said leaving the EU amounted to quitting and we are not quitters, he said. Ukip leader Nigel Farage said being British meant not being bullied by anybody.

Fact check: 'EU migrant contribution to British economy neutral'

In economic terms, EU migrant contribution is probably about neutral, Nigel Farage claimed.

But studies suggest recently-arrived EU migrants contribute more to public finances than they receive, although the effect is small, according to fact-checking organisation Full Fact.

Research also tends to agree that recently-arrived immigrants contribute more than those here for longer, and that immigrants from other EU countries contribute more than those from outside the EU.
