Reports: Former Spurs boss to take over at Schalke
Former Spurs and Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is set to take over at Schalke this summer, according to reports in Germany.
Villas-Boas will step down at Zenit after the Russian club's final match of the season this weekend after refusing to consider a contract extension over a lack of first-team investment.
The Portuguese coach won the Russian Premier League title last season and guided Zenit to the Russian Cup trophy earlier this month with an emphatic 4-1 victory over CSKA Moscow.
Last week, Schalke confirmed that manager Andre Breitenreiter would be leaving the club after they finished the season three points behind fourth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, failing to qualify for the Champions League.
