Idris Elba has told ITV News that he is "excited" about his Bafta nomination in the leading actor category.
The Luther star also paid tribute to his fellow Bafta nominees and spoke of how proud he is of the hit BBC programme.
"Tonight I think there are amazing actors being nominated, so I feel very privileged to be here," he said. "I'm very proud of the show and we just keep getting stronger."
Elba also told ITV News that he believes the British television industry is doing well.
"For the last four or five years, there's been a real shift and we've gone from strength to strength, so it's a great time to be in television," he said.
The actress said: "If someone had told me I would have had a husband, a baby and a Bafta in 2016, I wouldn't have believed them."
