Comedian Victoria Wood has died aged 62 after a short battle with cancer, her publicist has said.
Fellow comedians Jennifer Saunders, Jenny Eclair and James Corden are among those to pay tribute to the Dinnerladies star, saying she "paved the way" for women in comedy.
Her long-time comedy partner Julie Walters said: "Too heart sore to comment. The loss of her is incalculable."
Comedian Rory Bremner paid tribute to "wonderful" Victoria Wood on Wednesday.
The impressionist said 2016 had been a "horrendous year" for celebrity deaths, and rued the unfinished work Wood "was doing and still had to do".
Fellow actor Duncan Preston, who appeared with the comedian in the BBC sitcom Dinnerladies, said he had no idea that she was ill.
Victoria Wood, comedy star, writer and actor rose to fame in the 80s and paved the way for many comedians.
