Comedian Victoria Wood has died aged 62 after a short battle with cancer, her publicist has said.
Fellow comedians Jennifer Saunders, Jenny Eclair and James Corden are among those to pay tribute to the Dinnerladies star, saying she "paved the way" for women in comedy.
Her long-time comedy partner Julie Walters said: "Too heart sore to comment. The loss of her is incalculable."
Victoria Wood will be "sorely missed", comedy star Sir Lenny Henry has said.
Paying tribute to the 62-year-old who died on Wednesday, Henry said: "I am devastated - this is very, very sad news. Victoria will be sorely missed.
"Always funny, she worked incredibly hard. A killer stand-up and a fantastic songwriter. My condolences to all her family".
Fellow actor Duncan Preston, who appeared with the comedian in the BBC sitcom Dinnerladies, said he had no idea that she was ill.
Victoria Wood, comedy star, writer and actor rose to fame in the 80s and paved the way for many comedians.
