'Life is just truly cruel', says mum of bouncy castle victim Summer Grant

The mother of Summer Grant, a seven-year-old who was killed when the bouncy castle she was playing on blew away, has said "life is just truly cruel" following the tragic death of her little girl.

In the first family statement to be released since Summer's death Cara Blackie shared her grief and remembered her daughter as tributes were paid to the "bright, beautiful and most loving little girl".

It comes as police said on Monday that they had released on bail two people who were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence after the bouncy castle blew away in high winds.
