Drone footage shows damage to Palmyra monuments

Drone footage has been released showing some of the damage caused to Roman monuments in the ancient Syrian city of Palmyra.

Syrian government forces have reportedly retaken full control of the historical city, a year after it was captured by so-called Islamic State.

During its occupation of the area, IS is believed to have destroyed several valuable sites and antiquities.
