Eagles of Death Metal return to Paris to finish Bataclan set

US band the Eagles of Death Metal have taken to the stage in Paris for the first time since last November's terror attacks.

The band were in the middle of their set at the Bataclan theatre on November 13 when gunmen stormed the building, killing dozens. A total of 130 people died in coordinated attacks across the city.

Eagles of Death Metal had vowed to return to the French capital to finish their show, which is being held at the Olympia venue.

Eagles of Death Metal rockers thank fans in Paris

US rock group Eagles of Death Metal thanked fans who packed out the Olympia in Paris, as they performed the set which was interrupted by November's terror attacks.

Frontman Jesse Hughes repeatedly told the hundreds who attended the show that he "loves" them, and at one point brandished a guitar painted in the colours of the French tricolore flag.

"You have no idea how much I love you... You have no idea how much I needed you tonight and you did not let me down," he said at one point.

Survivors of the attacks were offered free tickets to the show.
