Comic actress Rebel Wilson made a risque reference to the Oscars diversity row at the Baftas ceremony as she presented the award for best supporting actor.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It's so great to be here at this really serious event," she said.

"I have never been invited to the Oscars because, as you know, they are racist. But the Baftas have diverse members, and that's what we all want to see in life, isn't it? Diverse members."

The Academy in the US has come in for criticism as no non-white actors have been nominated in the best actor and actress, or best supporting actor and actress categories.
