Taiwan earthquake: Baby found as search for survivors continues

Rescue teams are continuing to search for survivors after powerful earthquake in Taiwan caused several buildings to collapse, trapping hundreds of residents.

At least 38 people are known to have died and more than 100 people are still missing after the 6.4 magnitude quake which struck on Saturday morning.

Most of the victims, including a 10-day-old baby, were found at a 17-storey building where rescuers are concentrating their efforts in the southern city of Tainan.

Three building firm bosses have been arrested and accused of negligence following the deadly collapse of an apartment building in southern Taiwan.

They have been detained on suspicion of professional negligence resulting in death.
