Taiwan earthquake: Baby found as search for survivors continues

Rescue teams are continuing to search for survivors after powerful earthquake in Taiwan caused several buildings to collapse, trapping hundreds of residents.

At least 38 people are known to have died and more than 100 people are still missing after the 6.4 magnitude quake which struck on Saturday morning.

Most of the victims, including a 10-day-old baby, were found at a 17-storey building where rescuers are concentrating their efforts in the southern city of Tainan.

Fears grow for those still trapped in Taiwan quake rubble

Hundreds of residents have been rescued from the rubble but fears are growing for those who are still trapped under the collapsed buildings.

A 6.4 magnitude quake shook the southern part of the country early on Saturday morning.

Lisa Hsu, from the Taiwan Red Cross, said it took more than five hours to rescue a five-year-old boy.
