Sir Terry Wogan: Tributes to legendary broadcaster

Tributes have poured in for much-loved broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan who has died aged 77.

The Irish-born presenter, best known for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest and Children in Need, died after "a short but brave battle with cancer".

David Cameron said he was "someone millions came to feel was their own special friend", while Tony Hall, the director general of the BBC, hailed Sir Terry as a "national treasure".

Henry Kelly on 60 years of friendship with Terry Wogan

Henry Kelly knew Sir Terry Wogan for 60 years.

They went to the same school together in Dublin before both enjoying long radio and TV careers in Britain.

He has shared some of his own special memories of their friendship with ITV News.
