Woman killed as car crashes into coffee shop

A woman in her seventies has died and four people are seriously injured after a car crashed into a Costa coffee shop in Westerham, Kent, ambulance services said.

Kent Police told ITV News two "older people" were in the car at the time, and are currently among those being treated in hospital.

The cause of the crash is not yet clear, though the car was said to be out of control for some time before it entered the shop.

Several people are believed to have been injured after a car crashed into a Costa coffee shop in Westerham, Kent.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed it was on the scene after the incident.

BBC News reported that some of those injured in the crash were believed to be in serious condition, citing the ambulance service.

One onlooker, Sally Pendleton, said numberous ambulances and police cars are at the scene, with the road completely blocked off.
