British astronaut Tim Peake boards International Space Station

British astronaut Tim Peake and two colleagues have been welcomed aboard the International Space Station after a six-hour journey from Kazakhstan.

No Brit has undertaken such a mission - or even left Earth - in more than two decades.

Mr Peake will be onboard the ISS for six months.

Tim Peake may now be around 220 miles above the earth as he prepares to board the International Space Station, but you still have a chance to catch a glimpse of his new home.

NASA's "Spot The Station" service lists where and when you could spot the ISS from thousands of locations on earth.

You can even sign up to receive notifications to on email or via phone so you can be in the right place at the right time.
