Donald Trump: 'I'm doing good for the Muslims'

Donald Trump has denied claims he is a racist, insisting he is "doing good for the Muslims" with his call to ban Muslims from entering the US.

As a petition appealing for the controversial billionaire to be banned from the UK passed 360,000 signatures, Trump said the American public was behind his proposal as were his "many Muslim friends".

Trump, who is seeking the Republican nomination for next year's presidential election, told CNN: "I am the least racist person that you have ever met."

Trump: 'Places in London police are afraid for their lives'

US presidential hopeful Donald Trump has said there are places in London "so radicalised the police are afraid for their own lives."

Mr Trump, who is seeking the Republican nomination for next year's presidential election, made the comments on MSNBC.

Speaking to MSNBC he said: "We have places in London...that are so radicialised that the police are afraid for their own lives"

It comes the day after he sparked controversy by saying there should be "a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the US."
