Starbucks and Fiat told to pay tax over 'illegal' deals
Starbucks and Fiat Chrysler have been ordered to pay between 20-30 million euros (£15m - £22m) in taxes after deals with Europe were ruled to be illegal.
The Dutch government said it was "surprised" by a European Commission decision on its tax deal with Starbucks, adding that it was convinced the arrangement was within international standards.
But the EU regulator said the Starbucks' tax deal with the Dutch authorities constitutes illegal state aid. Starbucks said it would appeal the decision because it included "significant errors".
