Stars turn out to support Pride of Britain awards

David Beckham, the Prince of Wales and David Cameron are among a host of celebrities and public figures lending their support to a ceremony recognising some of Britain's bravest people.

This year's Pride of Britain awards, to be held in central London tonight, will recognise British aid workers who risked their lives to save thousands of Ebola victims and emergency medics who scaled a rollercoaster to rescue the victims of the Alton Towers crash.

Young Pride of Britain winner meets David Beckham

David Beckham praised eight-year-old Pride of Britain winner Bailey Matthews on his choice of three-piece suit when he met the youngster at the awards ceremony.

Bailey hit the headlines in July after a video of him crossing the finish line at his first ever triathlon went viral.

Beckham praised the youngster's choice of suit before asking him whether he liked football.
